I am such a geet when it comes to musicals. I am excited about Hairspray and AIDA. The other ones I have seen fairly recently.

I am excited about Hairspray and AIDA as well since I don't think they have made it to Spokane yet. I can't wait until Wicked tours to Spokane!

The new Best of Broadway season is upon us and it looks like CATS will survive one more year since starting it's run in 1927. Take a look at what else this year has to offer.
[Excerpt from Best of Broadway Spokane] "The 2006-2007 Best of Broadway season will feature 5 productions for season ticket holders including Chicago, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,Hairspray, Annie and Elton John's and Tim Rice's AIDA. Optional productions to the series include Capitol Steps, Little Shop of Horrors, and CATS.

Jack G. Lucas, President, stated, 'We are pleased to increase the number of productions in the series from the standard four to five productions in 2006-2007. Two of the productions, Hairspray and Elton John's and Tim Rice's AIDA, are new titles to the series and are two of the most popular productions touring nationally. Due to popular request by our subscribers, we are also including the return engagements of Chicago, Joseph and The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat and Annie.'

Lucas went on to say, 'In addition to the great subscription series, we are including three optional productions to the series. Capitol Steps is returning with new political satire material and after selling-out four previous engagements, Cats will return to the Opera House next spring. We are also pleased to present the highly acclaimed new musical Little Shop of Horrors.' "
