A Drummer & His River

I have said it before and I will say it again, you just never know what you will find downtown. After my first visit to the Spokane Shock (a visit that only lasted one quarter because of too many drunk college students) I started a casual walk back downtown from the Arena.

That's when I came across a most unusual sight. A drummer had his entire set up high on a rock overlooking the river, playing his heart out. The echoes of his drums rebounded throughout the rushing river below.

What a wonderful form of expression. I am sure he enjoyed the occasional onlookers who passed his way but more so I believe he was there because of his passion for drumming. And the scenery doesnt' get any better then overlooking our beautiful Spokane river at twilight. So if you are in the area and hear a "thump, thump, thump" in the distance go take a look you may find a drummer and his river in song.
