[KXLY News] "The downtown YMCA facility near Riverfront Park has accepted an offer to sell. A Spokane real estate executive who is active in protecting the Spokane river has signed a purchase agreement for more than $5 million dollars for the YMCA building on Howard overlooking the Spokane river.

The agreement allows the YMCA to operate in its current location until 2008.

Mark Pinch, who has offered the YMCA $5.3 million for the property, said the new building would be 150 feet high with up to 80 residential units and two levels of parking. 'The condominiums would start in the $300,000 range,' he said. The Spokane city parks board has first right of refusal on the property and has until July 28 to make a decision."
